Possible Causes
Stuck or broken door switch, shorted lamp relay/triac on PCB, misaligned door not actuating switch
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing the door switch or control board.
- Locate door switch: On many Etna ovens, the door switch is located behind the front frame and actuated by the door.
- Test switch: Remove the switch and test continuity while pressing and releasing the actuator. Replace if it does not change state correctly.
- Check door alignment: Ensure the door presses the switch fully when closed. Adjust hinges if necessary.
- PCB lamp control: If the switch is good but the lamp remains on, the lamp control device on the main PCB may be shorted. Replace the main PCB.
