Possible Causes
Failed convection fan motor, Obstructed fan blade, Open wiring to convection motor, Failed convection relay on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Turn off power at the breaker. Blades can be sharp; use caution.
- Check fan operation: Start a convection mode and listen for the fan. If silent, proceed with inspection.
- Access fan: Remove the oven racks and rear interior panel to expose the convection fan. Check for food debris or obstructions preventing rotation.
- Spin test: With power off, spin the fan blade by hand. If stiff or seized, replace the convection fan motor assembly.
- Electrical test: Disconnect the motor and measure resistance; an open circuit indicates a failed motor. Inspect wiring to the motor and repair if damaged.
- Control board: If motor and wiring are good but no power is supplied in convection mode, replace the EOC or relay board.
