Possible Causes
Failed oven temperature sensor probe, Broken or loose sensor wiring harness, Corroded sensor connector, Failed EOC sensor input circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Disconnect power at the breaker before testing components.
- Access sensor: Locate the oven temperature sensor at the rear of the oven cavity. Remove the mounting screws and gently pull the sensor forward to access the connector.
- Test sensor: Disconnect the sensor and measure resistance with a multimeter. At room temperature it should be ~1050–1100 Ω. If reading is infinite (open), near 0 (short), or far outside spec, replace the sensor.
- Check harness: If the sensor tests good, inspect the wiring from the sensor connector to the EOC for breaks, burns, or loose pins. Repair or replace as needed.
- Control board: If sensor and wiring are good but F3 persists, the EOC sensor circuit is likely defective and the control board should be replaced.
