Possible Causes

Shorted oven temperature sensor, Sensor wiring shorted to chassis, Melted harness insulation, Failed EOC sensor circuit

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety First: Disconnect power at the breaker.

  • Inspect sensor and harness: Access the oven sensor and wiring. Look for melted insulation or wires touching metal.
  • Measure sensor resistance: At room temperature, the sensor should be ~1050–1100 Ω. A very low reading indicates a shorted sensor; replace it.
  • Check for shorts: With sensor disconnected, check each sensor lead to chassis ground with a multimeter. There should be no continuity. Repair any shorted wiring.
  • Control board: If sensor and wiring are good, replace the EOC.
