How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Turn off power at the breaker before accessing the control panel.
- Remove control panel cover: Access the back of the control panel and locate the flat ribbon cable from the keypad to the clock/EOC.
- Reseat ribbon: Gently unplug the ribbon, inspect for corrosion or cracks, and reinsert fully. Clean contacts with electronic contact cleaner if available.
- Dry moisture: If there are signs of moisture (from steam or cleaning), allow the panel to dry completely for several hours with power off.
- Test operation: Restore power and test. If F6 returns or keys remain erratic, replace the touchpad/control panel assembly or the clock/EOC as specified by the Frigidaire parts diagram for your model.
