Possible Causes

Failed cooling fan motor, Open or shorted fan wiring, Stuck relay on EOC, Overheated control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety First: Turn off power at the breaker. Internal components may be hot; allow to cool.

  • Listen for fan: During operation, the internal cooling fan should run when the oven is hot. If F8 appears and the fan is not running, suspect the fan circuit.
  • Access fan: Remove the rear panel to access the cooling fan motor. Check for obstructions and spin the fan blade by hand; it should turn freely.
  • Test fan motor: With power disconnected, measure resistance across the fan motor terminals. An open circuit indicates a failed motor. Replace the cooling fan motor if defective.
  • Inspect wiring and control: Check wiring from the EOC to the fan for damage. If fan and wiring are good, the EOC relay may be faulty and the control board should be replaced.
