Possible Causes
Metal panels expanding and contracting, Warped oven liner, Loose mounting screws on elements or panels, Debris contacting fan or elements
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Allow the oven to cool and disconnect power before tightening or adjusting components.
- Identify source: Listen carefully to locate the general area of the noise (back, sides, top).
- Check elements and racks: Ensure racks are seated properly and not contacting the oven walls. Tighten mounting screws for bake, broil, and convection elements.
- Inspect panels: Remove rear and side panels (if accessible) and tighten any loose screws. Look for warped metal rubbing against other parts.
- Fan check: If noise is near the convection fan, inspect the fan blade for contact with the shroud or debris and correct as needed.
Some minor popping from metal expansion is normal, but very loud or new noises should be investigated.
