Possible Causes
Shorted heating element to chassis, Damaged wiring harness touching metal, Shorted convection fan motor, Faulty EOC or relay board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Do not repeatedly reset a breaker that trips immediately; this indicates a potentially dangerous fault. Turn off power and leave it off until the issue is found.
- Visual inspection: With power off, inspect bake, broil, and convection elements for cracks or spots where the element sheath touches the oven cavity.
- Check wiring: Remove rear panel and inspect wiring for melted insulation or wires contacting sharp metal edges. Repair or replace damaged wiring.
- Element ground test: Disconnect each element and check for continuity between each terminal and chassis ground. Any continuity indicates a shorted element; replace it.
- Fan motor test: Test the convection fan motor for shorts to ground. Replace if shorted.
- Control board: If all loads test good, the EOC or relay board may be shorted; replace as needed.
