Possible Causes
Open bake heating element, Open broil/grill element, Failed power relay on main control board, Loose wiring at terminal block or element connectors
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the oven from power at the breaker before removing any panels or touching wiring. High voltage is present even when the oven is off.
- 1. Verify power supply: Check the kitchen breaker for the oven. Reset if tripped. For hard‑wired Fulgor Milano ovens, confirm that both L1 and L2 are present (240V) using a multimeter at the wall connection or terminal block (only if you are trained and comfortable working with live power).
- 2. Inspect heating elements: Remove oven racks. Visually inspect the lower bake element and upper broil/grill element for blisters, cracks, or burn marks. If damaged, replace the element with a Fulgor Milano‑compatible part.
- 3. Test element continuity: With power off, remove the rear cover or access panel. Disconnect one wire from the bake element terminals and measure resistance across the element. A typical reading is 15–40 Ω. Infinite resistance indicates a failed element that must be replaced.
- 4. Check wiring and connectors: Inspect the wiring harness from the terminal block to the elements and to the main control board (ERC). Look for burnt spade connectors or melted insulation. Repair or replace damaged wires and ensure all connectors are fully seated.
- 5. Evaluate the main control board: If elements and wiring test good but no heat in any mode, the power relay on the electronic control may be defective. Look for burnt spots on the PCB. Replacement of the control module is usually required and is best done by a qualified technician.
