Possible Causes

Failed grill element, Failed bottom element, Stuck or burned relay on control board, Wiring fault to specific element

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Isolate the oven from mains power before removing panels.

  • Identify which mode fails: Test each heating mode (top heat, bottom heat, grill, fan-assisted). Note which one triggers F12 or does not heat.
  • Test the corresponding element: Access the suspect element (e.g., grill at top, bottom element under cavity floor). Measure resistance with a multimeter. An open circuit means the element is faulty and must be replaced.
  • Inspect wiring: Check the wiring from the element to the control board for burns or loose connectors. Repair as needed.
  • Check control board relays: If the element and wiring are good, the relay controlling that element may be defective. Look for heat discoloration around the relay. Relay or board replacement is usually required and best done by a technician.
