Possible Causes
Overheating during pyrolytic cycle, Faulty pyrolytic temperature sensor, Failed cooling fan, Blocked ventilation around oven
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Allow the oven to cool completely. Do not force the door open while hot. Disconnect power before internal checks.
- Ventilation check: Ensure the oven has correct cabinet ventilation and that vents are not blocked by panels or insulation.
- Cooling fan operation: Confirm that the cooling fan runs during normal baking. If it does not, troubleshoot the cooling fan motor and thermostat as described for F8.
- Inspect pyrolytic sensor (if separate): Some Gorenje pyrolytic models use a dedicated high-temperature sensor. Access and test it for continuity/resistance according to the service manual. Replace if out of range.
- Manual door release: Use the manual release lever (if provided) once the oven is cold to unlock the door.
- Avoid repeated pyro cycles: Until the cause is fixed, avoid using pyrolytic cleaning. If F13 recurs, contact a technician, as high-temperature faults can be hazardous.
