Possible Causes

Damaged or missing meat probe, Dirty or oxidized probe jack, Broken wiring from probe jack to control board, Faulty probe detection circuit

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing internal wiring. Allow oven to cool before handling the probe jack.

  • Check the probe: Inspect the meat probe cable and tip for cuts, kinks, or burns. Replace the probe if damaged.
  • Clean the jack: Use a cotton swab and a small amount of contact cleaner to clean the probe socket inside the oven cavity. Ensure no food residue is inside.
  • Test with a known-good probe: If available, test the oven with a new or known-good Gorenje-compatible meat probe.
  • Inspect wiring: From the rear or side, locate the wiring from the probe jack to the control board. Check for continuity and secure connections.
  • Control board fault: If the probe and wiring are good but F18 persists, the probe detection circuit on the control board may be faulty and require board replacement.
