Possible Causes

Failed convection fan motor, Jammed fan blade, Burned fan wiring, Faulty fan relay on control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power and wait for the oven to cool before accessing the fan area.

  • Access convection fan: Remove the oven shelves and the rear inner panel inside the cavity to expose the convection fan and cover.
  • Check for obstructions: Try to spin the fan blade by hand. It should rotate freely without scraping. Remove any debris or baked-on grease that may be jamming it.
  • Test fan motor: From the rear of the oven (after removing the back cover), locate the convection fan motor terminals. Measure resistance; an open circuit indicates a failed motor. Also check for signs of overheating or oil leakage from the motor.
  • Inspect wiring and connectors: Ensure the fan motor connectors are tight and not burned. Repair any damaged wiring.
  • Replace fan motor if needed: If the motor is seized or open, replace it with a compatible Gorenje convection fan motor. Reassemble and test.
  • If F5 persists: The fan relay or control circuit on the main PCB may be defective and require board replacement by a professional.
