Display shows F6 and oven functions are disabled or limited; sometimes appears after a power surge.

Safety first: Turn off the oven at the mains before removing the control panel.

• Power reset: Disconnect power for at least 5–10 minutes to allow the electronics to fully discharge. Restore power and check if F6 clears.
• Inspect control connections: Remove the control panel and inspect the ribbon cable and connectors between the user interface (display) and the main power board. Reseat all connectors carefully.
• Check for visible damage: Look for burned components, bulging capacitors, or scorch marks on the control board. Any such damage indicates the board should be replaced.
• Surge protection: If the error appeared after a lightning strike or power surge, consider using a surge protector for the oven circuit (if allowed by local code) after repair.
• Board replacement: If F6 persists after reseating cables and power reset, the electronic control board or display module is likely faulty and should be replaced by a qualified technician, as programming may be required.
