Oven cooling fan continues to run for an excessively long time after the oven is turned off.

Safety first: It is normal for the cooling fan to run for some time after use. Only troubleshoot if it runs for an unusually long period (e.g., over an hour) or never stops.

• Improve ventilation: Ensure cabinet vents are not blocked and that there is adequate space around the oven for heat to escape.
• Observe behavior: Time how long the fan runs after a moderate bake (e.g., 180°C for 30 minutes). If it runs indefinitely, proceed.
• Check thermostat (if mechanical): Some models use a bimetal thermostat to control the cooling fan. Access it near the top of the cavity and test for continuity when cool. If it remains closed when cold, replace it.
• Control board fault: If the fan is controlled purely by the electronic board and never switches off, the board may be faulty and require replacement.
