Possible Causes
Open convection (ring) element around fan, Burned wiring to ring element, Faulty relay controlling ring element
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing the rear of the oven or inner fan cover.
- Access ring element: Remove the inner rear panel to expose the fan and surrounding ring element, or access from the rear panel depending on model.
- Test element: Disconnect at least one wire and measure resistance across the ring element terminals. An open circuit indicates a failed element that must be replaced.
- Inspect wiring: Check for burned or loose connectors at the element terminals. Repair or replace as needed.
- Check control board relay: If the element tests good but never receives power in fan modes, the controlling relay on the board may be faulty and require board replacement.
