Possible Causes
Faulty high-temperature sensor for pyrolytic mode, Defective door lock during self-clean, Open high-limit thermostat, Control board self-clean safety circuit failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure the oven is cool and power is disconnected before inspection.
- Door lock check: Confirm the door lock engages and disengages properly in normal operation. If it fails to lock for self-clean, inspect and test the lock motor and switches.
- High-limit thermostat: Locate the high-limit thermostat dedicated to self-clean (often mounted on the top of the cavity). Test for continuity. Replace if open.
- High-temp sensor: Some Hisense pyrolytic models use a separate high-temp sensor. Test its resistance and compare to specifications. Replace if out of range.
- Control board: If all safety components test good, the self-clean safety circuit on the control board may be defective and should be replaced by a technician.
