Possible Causes

Failed humidity sensor, Blocked steam inlet or outlet, Wiring fault to humidity sensor, Control board sensor input failure

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off power and allow the oven to cool. Steam components can be very hot.

  • Clean steam paths: Remove and clean any water tank or steam generator components according to the Hisense manual. Ensure inlets and outlets are not blocked by scale or food debris.
  • Locate humidity sensor: On steam-assist models, the sensor is often mounted in the cavity wall or near the steam outlet. Inspect for contamination and gently clean with a dry cloth.
  • Check wiring: Inspect the sensor harness for damage or loose connectors.
  • Replace sensor: If cleaning and wiring checks do not resolve E19, replace the humidity sensor with a Hisense-compatible part.
  • Control board: Persistent errors after sensor replacement may indicate a faulty control board.
