Possible Causes
Failed lower heating element, Loose or corroded element connectors, Damaged wiring harness to lower element, Faulty main control board output
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker and confirm the oven is cold before working underneath or behind it.
- Access lower element: On many Hisense ovens, the lower element is hidden under the oven floor panel. Remove the oven racks and floor panel to visually inspect the element for cracks, blisters, or breaks.
- Continuity test: Disconnect one wire from the lower element and measure resistance. Expect roughly 20–40 Ω. If the reading is open, replace the lower heating element.
- Check rear connections: Remove the rear cover and verify that the lower element terminals are tight and not burnt. Clean or replace damaged terminals.
- Harness and board: If the element tests good, inspect the wiring harness from the element to the main control board. Repair any damage. If wiring is intact, the control board’s heater relay may be defective and require replacement.
