Possible Causes
Failed convection fan motor, Jammed fan blade, Faulty fan capacitor (if fitted), Open circuit or burnt wiring to fan, Defective fan relay on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power at the breaker. Sharp metal edges are present; wear cut-resistant gloves.
- Check fan operation: With the oven cool, open the door and spin the convection fan blade (rear wall) by hand. It should rotate freely without scraping. If it is stiff or jammed, the motor or shaft is likely faulty.
- Access fan motor: Remove the rear panel inside the oven cavity (usually held by screws) to expose the fan and shroud. Inspect for grease buildup or foreign objects blocking the blade.
- Test motor windings: From the rear of the oven, disconnect the fan motor wires and measure resistance. A typical Hisense convection motor will show a finite resistance (often 50–200 Ω). If open or shorted, replace the motor assembly.
- Inspect wiring and capacitor: Check the wiring harness and any series capacitor for burns or swelling. Replace damaged components.
- Control board relay: If the motor and wiring are good but the fan never receives voltage when it should, the control board relay may be faulty and require replacement.
