Possible Causes
Open grill element, Loose or burnt grill element terminals, Damaged wiring to grill element, Faulty grill relay on main control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Isolate power at the breaker and allow the grill element to cool completely.
- Visual check: Inspect the exposed grill/broil element at the top of the cavity for visible breaks, bulges, or burn marks.
- Continuity test: Access the rear of the oven, disconnect one wire from the grill element, and measure resistance. Expect a reading in the 10–30 Ω range. If open, replace the grill element.
- Terminal inspection: Ensure the element spade terminals are tight and not oxidized. Clean or replace as needed.
- Harness and board: Trace the wiring back to the main control board. Repair any heat-damaged wires. If the element and wiring are good, suspect a failed grill relay on the control board.
