Possible Causes

Faulty door lock motor assembly, Misaligned door latch, Failed door switch or microswitch, Broken wiring to lock assembly, Control board lock circuit failure

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power. Do not force the door open if the lock is engaged during a self-clean cycle; allow the oven to cool fully.

  • Check door closure: Ensure the door is closing fully and evenly. Inspect the latch hook for bending or damage.
  • Access lock assembly: On many Hisense ovens, the door lock motor is located at the top front. Remove the top panel to access it. Inspect the lock arm and linkage for binding.
  • Test lock motor and switches: With power OFF, disconnect the lock assembly and test the motor coil for continuity. Also test any microswitches for proper open/closed operation. Replace the lock assembly if defective.
  • Inspect wiring: Look for broken or pinched wires between the lock and the main control board.
  • Control board: If the lock assembly is good but E7 remains, the lock control circuit on the main board may be faulty and require replacement.
