Clicking noises and intermittent heating during operation

Safety first: Clicking from relays is normal to a point. If accompanied by arcing or burning smell, turn off power immediately.

• Determine normal vs abnormal: Soft, periodic clicks are normal as relays cycle. Rapid, irregular clicking with temperature swings may indicate a problem.
• Inspect connections: With power off, check all high-current connections at the bake and broil elements, terminal block, and control board for looseness or heat damage. Tighten or replace connectors.
• Control board: If clicking is excessive and heating is erratic despite solid connections, the electronic oven control board relays may be failing and should be replaced.
