Possible Causes
Loose or damaged communication harness, Failed display (UI) board, Failed main control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before removing the control panel.
- Inspect harness: Remove the control panel and locate the low-voltage harness between the display/UI board and the main control board. Ensure connectors are fully seated and free of corrosion.
- Check for pin damage: Look closely at the connector pins on both boards for bending or burning. Straighten minor bends carefully; replace boards with burned pins.
- Wiggle test: With power restored (use caution), gently wiggle the harness while observing the display. If the error appears/disappears, the harness or connector is intermittent and should be replaced.
- Board replacement: If harness is good and F20 persists, replace the display/UI board. If still unresolved, replace the main control board.
