Oven temperature sensor circuit open
F3 error appears, oven may shut off or not heat properly

Possible Causes
Open oven temperature sensor (RTD), Broken sensor harness, Loose sensor connector at control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power at the breaker before testing.
- Locate the sensor: Inside the oven cavity, find the thin metal probe on the rear wall. Remove the mounting screws and gently pull it forward to access the connector.
- Test resistance: Disconnect the sensor and measure resistance with a multimeter. At room temperature, it should be around 1080 Ω. If the reading is infinite (open) or far off spec, replace the sensor.
- Check harness continuity: If the sensor tests good, check continuity from the sensor connector to the control board connector using a multimeter. Repair any open or damaged wires.
- Reseat connectors: At the control board, unplug and firmly reconnect the sensor harness. Look for bent pins or corrosion.
- Replace faulty part: If wiring is good and F3 persists, replace the oven temperature sensor. If a new sensor does not resolve it, the electronic oven control board may have a bad sensor input circuit and should be replaced.
