Strong burning or chemical smell during normal baking (not first use)

Safety first: Turn off the oven and allow it to cool. Ventilate the area.

• Inspect interior: Look for spilled food, grease, or foreign materials (plastic, foil) on the elements or oven floor. Remove debris carefully.
• Clean oven: Use the oven's self-clean cycle if appropriate and safe, or manually clean with a non-caustic oven cleaner following Monogram's recommendations.
• Check for damage: Inspect elements and interior surfaces for permanent damage or exposed insulation. Replace damaged elements or panels.
