Possible Causes

Loose connection at temperature sensor, Damaged NTC temperature probe, Faulty wiring harness between sensor and control board, Defective electronic control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Switch off the oven at the mains isolator or consumer unit and confirm power is off before removing any panels.

Steps to check:

  • Power reset: Turn off power for 5–10 minutes, then restore. If E0 clears temporarily and returns, continue below.
  • Access the temperature sensor: Remove the oven from the cabinet if built-in. Take off the rear cover to locate the NTC temperature sensor (usually a small metal probe entering the cavity with two wires).
  • Check connections: Ensure the sensor plug is fully seated on the sensor and on the main control board. Look for burnt, corroded, or loose terminals.
  • Test the sensor: With a multimeter set to resistance (ohms), measure across the sensor terminals. Typical NTC sensors read around 500–1200 Ω at room temperature (exact value varies by model). If it reads open circuit (OL) or 0 Ω, the sensor is faulty.
  • Inspect wiring harness: Follow the sensor wires to the control board. Check for cuts, pinched sections, or melted insulation. Repair or replace damaged wiring.
  • Replace sensor if needed: If resistance is out of range or intermittent when you gently move the wires, replace the temperature sensor with a compatible Montpellier part.
  • Control board check: If the sensor and wiring are good but E0 persists, the electronic control board may be defective and should be tested or replaced by a qualified technician.
