Possible Causes

Loose ribbon cable between touch control and main PCB, Damaged user interface PCB, Faulty main control board, Moisture ingress behind control panel

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off power at the mains before removing the control panel or touching internal wiring.

Steps to check:

  • Power reset: Disconnect power for 10 minutes to clear temporary communication faults. Restore power and test.
  • Access control panel: Remove the front control panel screws and gently pull the panel forward to access the ribbon cable and connectors.
  • Inspect ribbon cable: Check for kinks, burns, or corrosion. Reseat both ends of the cable firmly.
  • Dry moisture: If there are signs of condensation or liquid spills, dry the area thoroughly and improve sealing if necessary.
  • Check for damage: Look for burnt components or cracked solder joints on the user interface PCB and main control board.
  • Replace faulty board: If reseating cables does not resolve E6, replace the user interface board first. If the fault persists, the main control board may also need replacement.
