Display shows "door" or a flashing door icon and oven will not start, especially for self-clean cycles.

Steps:

• Check door closure: Ensure the door closes fully and the gasket is not obstructing the latch. Adjust racks or pans that may be preventing full closure.
• Inspect latch: Open the door and inspect the latch hook on the door and the receiver on the frame. Tighten loose screws and straighten any bent parts.
• Test door switch: With power OFF, access the door switch (usually behind the front frame where the door closes). Remove the front panel or top as needed. Test continuity of the switch with a multimeter while pressing and releasing the actuator. Replace if it does not change state.
• Check lock motor (self-clean): If the error appears only during self-clean, inspect the door lock motor and switches from the rear. Replace the lock assembly if it does not move or report the correct position.
