Possible Causes

Failed relay on electronic oven control, Internal EOC logic fault, Power surge damage to control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power at the breaker. Capacitors on the control board can hold charge; avoid touching bare circuitry.

Steps:

  • Power reset: Turn breaker OFF for 10 minutes, then ON. If F5 returns immediately, proceed.
  • Inspect control board: Remove the back panel behind the control. Visually inspect the EOC for burnt spots, cracked solder joints, or melted areas near relays.
  • Check wiring: Verify all harness connectors to the EOC are fully seated and not heat-damaged. Reseat each connector one at a time.
  • Replace EOC: If visible damage is present or F5 persists, replace the EOC. Label wires or take a photo before removal to ensure correct reconnection.

Because this fault involves internal control electronics, replacement of the EOC is the standard repair.
