Possible Causes
Blown oven lamp, Faulty lamp holder, Failed lamp relay or triac on PCB, Broken neutral or live wire to lamp assembly
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Switch off and unplug the oven before changing the lamp or accessing the lamp cover.
- Replace the bulb: Remove the glass lamp cover inside the cavity (usually twists off). Replace the bulb with a high‑temperature oven lamp of the correct wattage and cap type as specified by Salter.
- Inspect lamp holder: Check for signs of burning or cracking on the lamp holder. If damaged, replace the lamp holder assembly.
- Check wiring: From the rear, inspect the lamp wiring for breaks or loose connections. Repair or replace any damaged wires.
- Control fault: If the lamp and holder are good but E14 persists and the lamp never receives power, the control PCB lamp driver may be faulty and the board may need replacement.
Warning: Use only oven‑rated lamps; standard household bulbs are not suitable and may shatter.
