Oven cavity light flickers or goes off when the door is opened or closed.

Safety first: Isolate the oven from mains power.

• Check door switch alignment: Ensure the door properly depresses the switch plunger. Adjust or tighten the switch mounting if necessary.
• Inspect wiring: Look for flexing or broken wires near the door switch and lamp holder. Repair or replace any damaged sections.
• Secure lamp holder: Tighten the lamp holder and ensure the bulb is screwed in firmly.
• Replace switch: If flickering persists when gently wiggling the switch, replace the door switch.

Warning: Do not operate the oven with exposed wiring around the door area.
