Possible Causes

Element insulation breakdown to earth, Damaged wiring harness touching chassis, Moisture inside elements or connectors, Shorted filter capacitor on power board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Do not repeatedly reset a tripping breaker. Isolate the oven and verify no power is present before inspection.

Steps to check:

  • Visual inspection: Remove the rear cover and inspect all wiring to elements, fans, and lamp for melted insulation or contact with sharp metal edges.
  • Element test: Disconnect each heating element in turn and test insulation resistance between each terminal and the metal casing using a megohmmeter if available. Any reading significantly below manufacturer spec indicates a leaky element.
  • Drying moisture: If the oven was recently steam-cleaned or flooded, allow it to dry for 24–48 hours with the door open before retesting.

Warning: Earth leakage testing and live fault-finding should be performed by a qualified electrician or appliance technician.
