Possible Causes
Stuck cooling fan relay on control PCB, Shorted triac, Misreading temperature sensor causing board to think oven is hot, Wiring short keeping fan energized
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before removing panels.
Steps to check:
- Temperature check: Ensure the oven is actually cool. If it is still hot, the fan may be running correctly until the cavity cools.
- Sensor reading: Test the cavity temperature sensor resistance at room temperature. If it reads as if the oven is hot, replace the sensor.
- Control board: If the sensor is normal, the cooling fan relay or triac on the control board may be stuck closed. In this case, the main control PCB will need replacement.
Note: A continuously running fan is usually not dangerous but indicates a control fault that should be corrected to avoid premature fan wear.
