Possible Causes

Factory protective oil burning off, Dust and residues on new element, Cleaning chemicals not fully removed

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Ensure good ventilation by opening windows. Keep flammable items away from the oven.

Steps to check:

  • Initial burn-in: For a new Tower oven or new element, run the grill at medium setting for 15–20 minutes with the door slightly open (if allowed by the manual) to burn off residues.
  • Clean surfaces: Wipe the cavity and element area (when cool) with a damp cloth to remove any remaining residues, then dry thoroughly.

Note: A mild smell on first use is normal; persistent heavy smoke after several uses may indicate grease buildup or a faulty element.
