Possible Causes
Weak or partially failed heating element, Faulty temperature sensor (NTC) drifting out of range, Miscalibrated oven thermostat, Heat loss due to damaged door seal
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Allow the oven to cool and isolate power before internal checks.
Steps to check:
- Door seal: Inspect the rubber gasket around the door for gaps, tears, or compression. Replace if not sealing evenly.
- Element operation: During preheat, observe whether all relevant elements (fan, base, grill) glow or heat. A non-heating element will slow preheat.
- Sensor test: Measure the NTC sensor resistance at room temperature and compare with Tower specifications. Replace if significantly off.
- Thermostat calibration: On mechanical thermostat models, compare actual cavity temperature (using an oven thermometer) to the set temperature. If consistently off, the thermostat may need replacement.
Tip: If only slightly off, some electronic Tower ovens allow user calibration via the settings menu (refer to manual).
