Possible Causes

Defective power relay on power module, Open circuit in heating element wiring harness, Failed main PCB (power electronics), Overheated or loose terminal block connections

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect the V-ZUG oven from mains power by switching off the circuit breaker and confirming the display is off before removing any panels.

Step-by-step checks:

  • Check power supply: Verify the correct voltage is present at the wall outlet or junction box with a multimeter. Loose or burnt connections at the terminal block can trigger F01 and prevent heating.
  • Inspect terminal block: Remove the rear cover, inspect the terminal block where the mains cable connects. Tighten any loose screws and look for heat damage or discoloration. Replace the terminal block if melted or cracked.
  • Check heating elements continuity: With the oven unplugged, disconnect the connectors to the top, bottom, and ring (hot air) elements. Measure resistance with a multimeter; an open circuit (OL) indicates a failed element that must be replaced.
  • Inspect power module relays: On the power PCB, visually inspect solder joints on the heater relays for cracks or burns. If relays are visibly damaged or do not click when heating is requested (test only with a qualified person and proper isolation), the power module should be replaced.
  • Reset the oven: After checks, restore power and perform a factory reset via the user menu (refer to V-ZUG user manual). If F01 reappears immediately, the power module is likely defective.

When to call a technician: If you are not comfortable working with live mains circuits or PCB-level components, contact an authorized V-ZUG service partner to test and replace the power module.
