Possible Causes
Damaged or shorted meat probe, Contaminated probe jack, Broken probe receptacle wiring, Faulty control board probe circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power before accessing internal wiring.
Basic checks:
- Inspect the meat probe cable and tip for cuts, kinks, or burn marks.
- Clean the probe jack in the oven wall with a dry cotton swab to remove grease or moisture.
- Try a known-good Wolf-compatible probe if available.
Internal checks:
- Access the rear of the probe jack and inspect wiring to the control board.
- Test continuity of the probe and wiring harness.
Corrective actions:
- Replace a damaged meat probe first; this is the most common failure.
- If the jack or wiring is damaged, replace the probe receptacle assembly.
- If E30 persists with a new probe and intact wiring, the control board probe circuit may be faulty and require replacement.
