Possible Causes

Control set to low power profile, Incorrect P‑setting configuration, Software glitch in control board, User misinterpretation of mode indicator

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Ensure the grill is on a stable, non‑combustible surface and away from flammable materials while testing.

  • Check user settings: Review the owner’s manual for P‑setting or power mode descriptions. Confirm that the grill is not intentionally set to a low‑output mode.
  • Adjust temperature and mode: Increase the set temperature to a higher value (e.g., 350–400°F) and exit any special modes (smoke, warm, eco) if active.
  • Reset controller: Turn the grill off, unplug for 2–3 minutes, then plug back in and power on. Re‑select your desired temperature.
  • Observe pellet feed: With the grill running, watch the pellet feed rate through the hopper. If pellets are feeding very slowly despite a high setpoint, the controller may be stuck in a restricted mode and may require a firmware reset or replacement.
