Possible Causes
Clogged grease channel, Misaligned drip tray, Grease bucket not installed or overfilled, Warped drip pan
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Allow the grill to cool completely before cleaning grease components. Wear gloves and avoid skin contact with hot grease.
- Remove and clean drip tray: Take out the drip tray and scrape off heavy grease buildup. Wash with hot, soapy water and dry thoroughly.
- Clear grease channel: Use a flexible brush or pipe cleaner to clear the grease channel leading to the bucket.
- Check alignment: Reinstall the drip tray, ensuring it slopes correctly toward the grease outlet and is fully seated on its supports.
- Empty grease bucket: Make sure the bucket is properly hung and not overfilled. Empty and clean regularly.
- Inspect for warping: If the drip tray is warped and no longer directs grease correctly, replace it with a Char‑Broil compatible drip tray.
