How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the grill and let it cool before working on the auger assembly.
- Empty hopper: Remove pellets and vacuum out dust.
- Access auger motor: Remove the rear or bottom panel to expose the auger motor and coupler.
- Inspect coupler and pin: Check for a broken shear pin or stripped coupler between the motor and auger shaft. Replace any damaged parts with Char‑Broil compatible components.
- Confirm engagement: Reassemble with the auger shaft fully seated in the coupler and secure all fasteners.
