How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the grill before opening the control panel housing.
- Power cycle: Before disassembly, unplug the grill for 60 seconds and plug back in. If the panel remains frozen, proceed to inspection.
- Inspect ribbon cable: Remove the control panel bezel and locate the flat ribbon cable connecting the display/keypad to the main control board. Reseat both ends firmly.
- Check for moisture: Look for condensation or water inside the panel. Dry thoroughly with a soft cloth and allow the panel to air dry before reassembly. Improve sealing if the grill is exposed to heavy rain.
- Test buttons/knob: With the panel reassembled, power on and test each button or dial. If some or all remain unresponsive, the UI panel assembly may be defective and require replacement.
