  • Inspect combustion fan: Access the fan compartment (usually behind a side or rear panel). Spin the fan blade by hand to ensure it moves freely. Check for grease buildup or obstructions. Tighten any loose mounting screws.
  • Verify fan operation: With panels in place but grates removed, plug in and start the grill. Listen for the combustion fan running during startup. If the fan does not run, suspect a failed fan motor or control board output.
  • Restart correctly: After cleaning, start the grill with the lid open until you see steady smoke and flame, then close the lid and set your desired temperature.
