Possible Causes
Warped or incorrectly installed heat diffuser, Blocked air holes on one side of firepot, RTD probe placement biasing control, Wind blowing into one side of grill
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Allow the grill to cool before adjusting internal components.
- Inspect diffuser: Remove and examine the Gourmet Grillson heat diffuser plate. Replace if warped or cracked. Reinstall so it is centered over the firepot.
- Clean firepot holes: Ensure all air holes around the firepot are open and not blocked more on one side than the other.
- Check probe location: Confirm the RTD probe is in the factory position and not too close to one side of the cook chamber.
- Shield from wind: If cooking in strong crosswinds, reposition the grill or use a windbreak to reduce uneven heating.
