- Inspect mounting: Ensure the sensor is firmly attached and not hanging loose or touching hot metal directly.
- Check wiring: Follow the sensor wires to the control board. Look for cuts, melted insulation, or loose connectors.
- Replace sensor: If wiring is intact but Er09 persists, replace the ambient/safety sensor with the correct Outdoorchef part.
If a new sensor does not clear Er09, the control board's sensor input circuit may be defective and require replacement.
