Outdoorchef
No Ignition / Failed Startup
Grill powers on but will not ignite; pellets feed into the pot but no flame develops.

Possible Causes
Failed igniter rod, Excess ash or pellets covering igniter, Weak combustion airflow, Wet or poor-quality pellets
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF, unplug, and allow the grill to cool fully before working near the fire pot.
- Clean fire pot: Remove grates and diffuser. Empty all ash and unburned pellets from the fire pot so the igniter tip is exposed.
- Check igniter glow: With parts removed, start the grill and observe the igniter tip. It should glow red within a few minutes. If not, test and replace the igniter.
- Verify airflow: Confirm the combustion fan runs during startup and that air is blowing into the fire pot.
- Use dry pellets: Discard any damp or crumbly pellets. Refill with fresh, dry Outdoorchef-compatible hardwood pellets.
If the igniter glows and airflow is good but no flame forms, there may be a fuel delivery or control issue that requires deeper diagnosis.
