Underheating / Cannot Reach Set Temperature
Grill temperature is much lower than the setpoint and struggles to reach cooking temperature.

Possible Causes
Low pellet feed rate, Auger motor slipping or stalling, Leaking lid or damaged gasket, Incorrect temperature probe reading
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Use heat-resistant gloves when working around a hot grill.
- Check for air leaks: Inspect the lid seal and body for gaps. Replace worn gaskets and ensure the lid closes fully.
- Verify pellet feed: Observe the fire pot during operation. If the flame is small and pellets feed infrequently, inspect the auger and motor.
- Clean interior: Heavy ash and grease can disrupt airflow. Clean the fire pot, diffuser, and exhaust.
- Check temperature probe: Ensure the probe is clean and not coated in heavy soot or grease, which can insulate it and cause low readings.
If the grill still cannot reach temperature after these steps, the auger motor or control board may not be delivering enough fuel and may need replacement.
