• Initial burn-off: For new grills, run an empty burn at medium-high temperature for 30–60 minutes to burn off manufacturing residues.
• Inspect interior: Look for any plastic, packaging, or tools left inside the grill.
• Check wiring near firebox: Remove panels and inspect for melted insulation or scorched wires. Reroute or replace damaged wiring.
• Avoid harsh chemicals: Only use grill-safe cleaners on interior surfaces and rinse thoroughly.

If odor persists and appears electrical, have the wiring and control board inspected by a technician.
