Possible Causes
Water ingress into control box, Corroded low-voltage connectors, Failing internal power supply on PCB, Loose transformer connections
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power and ensure the area is dry before opening the control box.
- 1. Dry the control box: Open the Espa control housing and gently dry any moisture with a clean cloth. Allow the box to air dry completely before re-energizing.
- 2. Seal cable entries: Check that all cable glands and gaskets are intact and tightened to prevent future water ingress.
- 3. Inspect low-voltage connectors: Look for green/white corrosion on small connectors and terminals. Clean lightly with contact cleaner and a soft brush.
- 4. Check mounting location: If the control box is exposed to direct rain or splashing, relocate it or install a weatherproof cover.
If E14 continues in dry conditions, the internal low-voltage power supply on the PCB may be failing and the board should be replaced.
