Possible Causes
Faulty relay or contactor in Espa control box, Broken start/stop button, Internal PCB fault preventing motor energization
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before opening the control box.
- 1. Listen for relay click: When starting the pump, listen for a click from the control box. Absence of a click may indicate a failed relay.
- 2. Inspect relay contacts: If accessible, check the motor contactor or relay for burnt or stuck contacts. Replace if damaged.
- 3. Bypass external controls: Temporarily bypass external timers or automation to test direct control from the Espa keypad.
- 4. PCB replacement: If the relay is PCB-mounted and not serviceable separately, the entire control PCB may need replacement.
